My favourite is a cacao, nut butter and banana combo.
Cacao is the healthier alternative to cocoa powder. Essentially, cacao is raw, unprocessed chocolate that’s made by cold-pressing unroasted cocoa beans. Cold-pressing the beans preserve its nutritional content. In contrast, cocoa powder is full of sugar and has been heavily processed with the majority of it’s health benefits destroy.
I love fuelling my body with this quinoa porridge because it provides some incredible plant-based protein. Just one serving provides your body with 4.3 grams of protein and about 2.5 grams of fibre. Quinoa is also an excellent source of manganese.
