There’s something about a good drink that makes any occasion feel a little more special: the muddled fruit, the salted rim, the sprig of mint balanced just so on the glass. None of that has to disappear just because there’s no alcohol in the glass. These six mocktails are built the same way a great cocktail is, with layered flavor, fresh ingredients, and a little bit of flair, whether you’re pouring them for a backyard crowd or just for yourself on a random Wednesday.
They also happen to be made from ingredients that are great for your skin and gut: vitamin C, antioxidants, hydration, all of it. That’s a nice bonus, but it’s not really the point. The point is that these taste incredible, look great in a glass, and give you one more good option any time you’re in the mood for something worth savoring.
1. Strawberry Mojito Mocktail
This is the one for lake days and backyard BBQs. Muddled strawberries, fresh mint, and lime get a splash of honey and a top of mineral water for a mojito that’s every bit as refreshing as the original. Strawberries bring a big hit of vitamin C and antioxidants along for the ride, and their high water content makes this one extra thirst-quenching on a hot day.

2. Raspberry Margarita Mocktail
Bright, tart, and built for a salted rim, this one blends fresh raspberries, lime, and orange juice into something you’d genuinely order at a bar. It’s vibrant, a little sweet, a little tangy, and gorgeous in a glass. Great for a DIY mocktail bar at a birthday or backyard hangout: set out sparkling water, citrus, and a bowl of berries and let people build their own.

3. Cucumber Basil Mocktail
Crisp, herbaceous, and ridiculously easy to make in under five minutes. Cucumber and basil are a genius pairing, cool and green with a little peppery bite from the basil, brightened with lime and a touch of raw honey. This is the one to keep on hand for scorching afternoons when you want something that feels fancy but takes zero effort.

4. Paloma Mocktail with Honey Mint Simple Syrup
Grapefruit and lime give this one a punchy, citrusy backbone, and a homemade honey mint syrup adds just the right amount of sweetness without tasting like a soda. Top with sparkling water and it’s got all the charm of a classic Paloma. This is the one to reach for at a BBQ or potluck when you want a drink that feels like an event.

5. Sleepy Girl Mocktail
This is the viral one, and it earns the hype. Tart cherry juice, magnesium glycinate, a squeeze of lime, and something fizzy come together into a drink that feels indulgent but is basically a cozy nightcap. Less of a party drink, more of a “curl up on the couch” ritual, the kind of mocktail that’s just as good on a random Tuesday as it is at a gathering.

6. Sparkling Pineapple Ginger Mocktail
Originally built for a New Year’s Eve party, this one’s become a go-to any time of year. Pineapple juice, a homemade ginger honey syrup, a splash of vanilla, and sparkling mineral water make for something warming and a little tropical all at once, great for a festive toast, no matter the season.

7. Apple Cider Sangria Mocktail
This is the one that turns a holiday table into an event. A big pitcher of cold apple cider gets layered with sparkling water, fresh orange and lemon juice, a whisper of pumpkin pie spice, and a float of cranberries, sliced citrus, and chopped apple. Let it sit for an hour so the flavors mingle, then pour it over ice with a sprig of rosemary for garnish. It’s warm, cozy, and festive without needing a single drop of wine, and the apples and citrus bring liver-supportive compounds and a solid dose of vitamin C along with the flavor.

8. Pomegranate Ginger Kombucha Mocktail
Proof that a great mocktail doesn’t need a long ingredient list. Pour pomegranate juice into the bottom third of a glass filled with ice, then top it off with ginger kombucha and let the layers do the talking. The kombucha brings natural carbonation along with probiotics for gut health, while the pomegranate juice adds a gentle sweetness and a good hit of antioxidants. Garnish with pomegranate seeds and fresh mint if you want it to look as good as it tastes. This is the one to keep in your back pocket when you want something festive in under five minutes.

9. Raspberry Hibiscus Iced Tea
Less of a cocktail-style sipper and more of an all-day hydration drink that still feels special. Hibiscus tea gets steeped with honey, then poured over ice and fresh raspberries with a sprig of mint. It’s the kind of drink you can sip all afternoon at a backyard BBQ, and hibiscus brings its own antioxidant and vitamin C boost along with some liver-supportive properties, on top of just being a genuinely refreshing way to get your water in.

Curious About Alcohol & Acne?
Since drinks are the theme today, alcohol and skin are connected, mostly through hydration and digestion, and it’s a fun rabbit hole if you’re into that kind of thing. I broke it down on the podcast in Cheers to Clear Skin: Unveiling Alcohol’s Impact on Acne, worth a listen next time you’re cooking or driving.

Build Your Own Mocktail Bar
Want to freestyle instead of following a recipe? Here’s the simple formula behind all six of these:
- Base: sparkling mineral water or coconut water
- Fruit: fresh or frozen berries, citrus, or pineapple
- Herb: mint, basil, or rosemary
- Sweetener: raw honey or maple syrup, to taste
- Finish: a squeeze of fresh lime or lemon
Mix, taste, adjust, repeat. It’s a fun way to keep a party going, no matter what everyone else is drinking.
