Now, you can’t be slamming back a tub of ice cream and a box of frozen chicken fingers for dinner and expect these tips to solve all your problems. Providing your body with the proper nutrition it needs to run is vital. Whole foods with an emphasis on vegetables (preferably organic) lay the foundation for a healthy body.
In an ideal world, your liver is functioning at peak conditions. Unfortunately, this is usually not the case. We live in a world where chemicals seep into every aspect of our lives. Prolonged exposure to these chemicals is a risk factor for many chronic diseases, including cancers. Detoxifying your liver is vital for helping your body remove these toxins.
Dry brushing allows you to slough off any dead skin cells and stimulates your lymphatic system to help rid your body of toxins and waste. Using a natural bristle brush, start at the bottoms of your feet and gently brush in long upwards strokes towards your main drainage points (see diagram in the guide).
Moving your body is definitely important to the longevity of your life. It keeps that blood of yours pumping and your muscles working. Plus, it helps excrete those nasty toxins we’ve been talking about. Numerous studies have shown heavy metals in the sweat that have been excreted post exercise or sauna. There are even some fat soluble toxins in your sweat, like the dreaded BPA. See ya later alligator.
