One of the first things I have new clients in The Clear Skin Solution work to start eliminating is dairy. You can read why in my chicken parmesan recipe from last month.
And I know dairy is hard for people to give up — even if it is to get rid of chronic acne. It’s a big ask for some people. I was one of them.
My favourite foods used to be grilled cheese, pizza and fettuccini Alfredo.
So I get it.
What I do with my clients is offer up healthy substitutions for their favourite dairy products.
Need the creaminess in your coffee? Try full fat coconut milk.
Want a thick Greek-style yogurt? Try unsweetened coconut or cashew yogurt.
Love ice cream? Opt for a vegan ice cream sweetened with honey.
Have to have cheese? Try my cashew cheese recipe.
There is always an alternative for any dairy must-have.
One I get a lot from my clients is they want a dairy-free ranch dressing. People who love ranch really LOVE it.
