- 3 cups organic apple cider
- 1 ½ cups 100% pure pineapple juice
- 1 ½ cups organic 100% pure orange juice
- 3 cups filtered water
- 2 tbsp honey or 8-12 drops of stevia
- 1 apple sliced into ½ cm rounds
- 1 orange sliced into 1 cm rounds (reserve one wedge for rimming glasses)
- 1 tsp cloves
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- ½ tsp ground nutmeg
For rimming the glasses:
- 1 tbsp cinnamon ground
- 1 tbsp coconut sugar
Optional, to serve:
- Sprig rosemary
- Star anise pod
- Cinnamon sticks
Line baking sheet with parchment paper and preheat oven to 350F.
Insert cloves into orange slices and arrange in single layer on baking sheet.
Bake in the oven for about 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, add apple cider, water, cinnamon and nutmeg to a large pot. Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat to a simmer and add orange and pineapple juice. Cover for 20 minutes.
Add honey or stevia and mix thoroughly - adjust sweetness as needed.
Pour into a punch bowl or keep on the stove top.
Float apple and baked orange slices on top of the punch.
To rim the glass
Mix the cinnamon and coconut sugar together on a plate large enough to fit the rim of your glass.
Using a piece of leftover orange (lemon wedge works too), moisten the rim of the glass.
Dip the rim of the glass into the cinnamon mixture.
!To make a pomegranate version:
Substitute 3 cups of pure pomegranate juice for the orange and pineapple juices.
